It is of the utmost importance that the EU Member States are to provide adequate financial resources for the digital transformation process. Only thus can we move from statements to really move further in this direction. This was stated by the Chairperson of the State e-Government Agency Rossen Jeliazkov in his speech during the EU e-Government Ministerial Meeting in Tallinn, Estonia.

“Cloud technologies, information and communication technologies, human resources and digital skills are an essential part of digital transformation. It is up to the Member States to accelerate this process by providing the necessary resources and bringing this change as a priority that leads to economic growth and prosperity for society”, S.E.G.A. Chairperson stated before the participants at the meeting.

According to Rossen Jeliazkov, EU Member States may benefit from their differences by exchanging experience and good practices, and this is a fundamental value of the Union. “We all face different challenges in the way towards digital transformation, but the exchange of ideas may bring us solutions. It is a collective effort that needs to be inclusive and fostering further cross-border cooperation and exchange of information” Rossen Jeliazkov also emphasized in his contribution.
