Information Systems and Interoperability Directorate shall provide support to the Chairperson of State e-Government Agency in implementing the powers conferred on him pursuant to the Electronic Government Act (EGA), the Spatial Data Access Act and the Public Information Access Act. The main activities of the Directorate shall be related to assuring coordination and control on the electronic administrative services and information systems within the administrations pursuant to the Electronic Services Act; it shall create and maintain a register of all registers; it shall create and maintain information sites register as part of the Integrated Information system of the state administration; it shall provide certification of compliance and introduction of information systems for internal electronic administrative services, conforming to the requirements for interoperability; i shall elaborate and maintain a public national storage and a system for control on the output program source code versions; it shall carry out activities related to the structure and contents of the open source data; it shall carry out activities related to elaborating the infrastructure of the spatial information required.

The activities of the Directorate shall be performed by two departments - “Data” Department and “Information Systems and Electronic Services” Department.
