The Network and Information Security Directorate (NIS) shall provide support to the State e-Government Agency (SEGA) by developing and implementing the functions of a National Computer Security Incidents Response Center in the event of accidents affecting the information security, as well as in carrying out the state policy in the field of networking and information security.

The Directorate shall coordinate the implementation of the policies of NIS related to the operation of the electronic governance.

The NIS Directorate shall determine the policy regarding the server identification certificate management and secure connections (HTTPS) across the administration. It shall certify the conformity of the information systems to the requirements of NIS and shall carry out control on the administrations regarding compliance with these requirements.
